The aspects that made it worthwhile: location to the university, shuttle services, fridge and microwave in the room, and a better than conventional "continental" breakfast.
I was set up in a disabled persons room without being notified that the room was set up for a disabled person. We had a difficult time initially finding the light switches, until we went into the bathroom and saw all the bars. Then we realized they were lower than normal. I feel the room was overpriced for what it was. There was nothing special about the room or the fabrics of the sheets. I feel that this hotel is only good if you plan on staying in your room for sleep, and for that there are plenty out there that are much cheaper. It was clean and that was nice, but still not worth the cost. Give the overall experience a C+.

Friendly staff, generous breakfast portions, walking distance to bars. Thumbs up. I hope the price stays low. I wouldn't pay more for the rooms. They can get a bit warm and stuffy, but they were definitely clean.
Parking lot fills up fast at night.

I adored the pineapple theme! The front desk super nice team, guiding us on using public transport to avoid costly parking fees. And let me tell you, those complimentary pineapple sugar cookies-yum!
100% recommend 🥰🍍

My husband and I appreciated that you served breakfast earlier for the STP riders and provided a free shuttle ride to REI so we could pick up our registration info. It was really thoughtful and unexpected! We will definitely consider visiting and staying with University Inn again.

Comfortable and convenient hotel at a very good rate. Nothing swanky or ostentatious, just good clean honest accommodations in a safe, walkable neighborhood. I'd definitely stay there again and will recommend it to friends and colleagues who are heading for Seattle. I gather the University Inn is a place where families (and others) stay when their loved ones are at University Hospital for treatment--and I can't imagine a kinder, more accommodating and restful place to stay under such anxious circumstances.

I appreciated the free shuttle to downtown. As a single traveler, I found the convenience of borrowing one of the complimentary bicycles to be a rewarding way to see the neighborhood.
I noticed that the on-site restaurant was not open for dinner, which limited dining options in the evening. The continental breakfast was basic and could have included more variety.

I stay at the University Inn because it's close to the University of Washington Medical Center. I wish they had a reduced rate for those who have appointments at the hospital because we just need an overnight place to sleep before our appointments.
The rate is outrageous.

Mostly that it was in the right place. I was looking for something near Children's Hospital, with parking. However, the room was really comfortable (awesome pillows!) and didn't smell like cigarettes.
The parking spots were very narrow. This seems to be the case in all the University District, and actually this hotel was better than most.

The accommodations were clean and well-presented, with a pleasant pineapple theme throughout. Appreciated the friendly and mostly attentive staff, along with the convenient free shuttle service. The small room felt cramped, and there was a real noise issue, especially hearing neighbors through the thin walls. A cleanliness concern arose when something unpleasant was found between the couch cushions, though the staff did follow up afterward.

I inadvertently left my car overnight in the loading/dropping off only section (I know, what kind of a moron doesn't bother to read the loading/unloading only sign, but who has an enviable IQ at 3am?) and found my car still there the next day, no one called to complain or tow my car. I really appreciate the hotel's the understanding of my apparent lack of understanding of my surroundings. Thanks University Inn!
not used to that kind of pillow, a little too fluffy for me, but not a deal breaker
